Customer Question: "Virgil, when is the best time to eat a V Bar"?
V: My first response is anytime, all the time, and anywhere in-between. Actually though, given the quick energy boost and time-release energy for up to four hours, they make a great mid-morning treat, or early afternoon bridge from lunch to dinner. I find that the best time for me is right before that afternoon slump (1:30 or 2:00, you know the one), and about a half hour before a workout. I'm rejuvenated with energy, but I still have my cat-like agility because I'm not weighted down with a huge meal.
Customer Question: What is the shelf life of a V-Bar?
V: Your V Bars will arrive with a "best enjoyed before" date that is approximately 3 months from the day you receive them. V Bars are made from ingredients that are organic and typically don't need to be refrigerated prior to being used to make V Bars. That said, I still recommend that you keep your V Bars either refrigerated or frozen (if possible) until you are ready to enjoy them. I haven't tested it (because my inventory never lasts this long!), but I'd say that your V Bar will have the same great taste even after being refrigerated for up to a year!
Customer Question: Are V Bars gluten free?
V: All three of V Bars would be considered gluten-less, but not gluten-free. There isn't any gluten in them intentionally, but they cannot be considered fully gluten-free, as I do not take measures to absolutely ensure that V Bars are made in a completely gluten-free process, hence the gluten-less. I have had customers who are celiac, and the bars haven't caused any trouble. That said, and considering that everybody's body and intolerances are different, I unfortunately still cannot guarantee that they would work the same for you if you have any kind of gluten intolerance. So, if you give them a try, I'd suggest doing so in very small increments.
